Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 12 May 2025

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Pradit Time and clients who bring watches to the workshop for repair, servicing, or restoration. By leaving a watch with the workshop or submitting an enquiry, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.

Pradit Time is operated by Pradit Nantawan from 218/4 Charoen Krung Road, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand.

1. Acceptance of work

All work begins with an initial assessment. No repairs, servicing, or restoration will proceed without the client's written or verbal agreement to a scope of work and an estimated cost. The workshop will not carry out work that has not been discussed and agreed.

Where a watch requires further disassembly to complete the assessment, the workshop will notify the client before proceeding. If the client does not wish to continue after receiving a full assessment, the watch will be returned. An assessment fee may apply in such cases and will be communicated in advance.

2. Estimates and pricing

Service prices listed on the workshop website represent the standard cost for typical examples of each service category. The final price for any individual watch is confirmed during the initial assessment and agreed before work begins.

Prices are stated in Thai Baht (THB). Standard service prices are:

Where sourcing replacement parts is required, parts costs will be communicated separately and agreed before the parts are ordered. The workshop will not fit parts that have not been agreed by the client.

If during servicing an additional fault is discovered that was not identified during the initial assessment, the workshop will contact the client to discuss the options before proceeding.

3. Timelines

Indicative service durations given at the time of assessment are estimates based on the workshop's current workload and the nature of the work required. They are not binding commitments. Timelines can be affected by factors outside the workshop's control, including the availability of specialist parts.

The workshop will communicate with clients when a significant delay is anticipated. Clients are welcome to enquire about progress at any time.

4. Care of watches in the workshop

All watches accepted by the workshop are held with care appropriate to their age and condition. The workshop takes responsibility for watches from the point of receipt until collection by the client.

The workshop carries insurance for watches in its care. In the event of damage or loss attributable to the workshop's negligence, liability is limited to the fair market value of the watch at the time it was received. The client is responsible for providing accurate information about a watch's value where this is relevant.

The workshop does not accept liability for pre-existing conditions that were not identified at the point of receipt, or for faults that arise from the normal operation of a timepiece following servicing.

5. Parts and materials

The workshop uses appropriate replacement parts where originals are worn, out of tolerance, or unavailable. Where original parts are available from reputable suppliers, these are used in preference to generic equivalents. Where a substitute part is used, this will be noted in the condition report.

Parts that are replaced during servicing remain the property of the workshop unless the client specifically requests their return before work begins. The workshop will make reasonable efforts to retain replaced parts for collection if requested.

6. Client responsibilities

The client confirms that they are the rightful owner of the watch, or that they have authority from the owner to commission repairs. The workshop will not knowingly accept watches that appear to be stolen or otherwise encumbered.

The client is responsible for collecting the watch within a reasonable period after notification that work is complete. Watches not collected within 60 days of notification may be subject to a storage fee. Watches uncollected for more than 12 months, despite reasonable attempts at contact, may be disposed of in accordance with applicable Thai law.

7. Service documentation

On completion of each service, the workshop provides a written condition report describing the work carried out, any parts replaced, and the performance of the movement following servicing. This report is provided at no additional charge and forms part of the service record for the watch.

Photographic documentation shared during a service (particularly for Heritage and Complication Restoration work) remains the property of the workshop. The client is welcome to retain copies for their own records.

8. After-service period

Where a fault arises within 90 days of collection that can reasonably be attributed to the work carried out, the workshop will examine the watch and, where appropriate, carry out remedial work at no additional charge. This does not apply to damage caused by impact, water ingress beyond the tested rating, or misuse.

This after-service commitment is not a warranty in the legal sense. Watches are mechanical instruments and their ongoing performance depends on conditions of wear and storage that are outside the workshop's control.

9. Payment

Payment is due in full on collection of the watch. The workshop accepts cash payment in Thai Baht. Bank transfer is available on request. The watch will be held until payment is received in full.

Where a deposit is agreed (typically for Heritage and Complication Restoration work requiring specialist parts), the deposit is non-refundable if the client subsequently cancels the work after parts have been ordered.

10. Limitation of liability

The workshop's liability in connection with any service is limited to the value of the service fee paid. The workshop is not liable for indirect losses, consequential losses, or losses arising from a watch being unavailable for use during the service period.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury arising from the workshop's negligence, or for fraud.

11. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by agreement between the parties will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.
